Review process

From first call to a written income map

Our flagship Full Retirement Income Review follows a fixed rhythm so you always know what happens next—and what you need to prepare.

Desk with organised retirement planning documents and a notebook

Four stages, three to four weeks

Most couples complete the review within a month of the discovery call, provided statements arrive promptly.

Discovery call

A free twenty-minute conversation to confirm fit, rough timing for stopping work, and the number of pension pots in scope. You receive a fee note before any paid work.

Document pack

We send a checklist covering workplace statements, State Pension forecast, and a simple spending sketch. You upload or post copies; we chase missing schemes with draft letters if needed.

Working session

In person in Old Doylewick or by video, we walk through sequencing options, tax-band sketches, and cash buffer sizing. No product pitch sits inside this meeting.

Written map & follow-up

Within ten working days you receive the income map. A short follow-up call clarifies wording with your partner or accountant.

What you prepare

  • Latest annual statement for each pension pot
  • State Pension forecast from your GOV.UK account or letter
  • Note of expected part-time work, rental, or other secured income
  • A rough list of essential monthly household costs

If an old employer scheme is missing, say so early. Tracing can add weeks and we will adjust the timeline honestly.

Who thrives in this process

Households within five years of leaving work, or already drawing pensions, who want a single written picture rather than a loose conversation. Couples with staggered retirement dates find the shared map especially useful.

Who should choose a narrower session

If you only need help deciding whether to combine three deferred pots, book Pension Pot Consolidation Advice. If you already know your pots and need a twelve-month withdrawal calendar, choose a Drawdown Sequencing Session.
